LA County EMS Drug Doses app analytics for April 18

LAC EMS Drug Doses is the mobile app for LA County’s (LAC) EMS Medical Control Guideline 1309, Color Code Drug Doses. This assists paramedics and Base Station staff in providing accurate drug dosing for adult and pediatric patients by pre-calculation of drug doses based on a standardized formulary specific to LAC. Pediatric patients are at high risk for dosing errors and this app provides drug dosing (mLs) based on kilogram (kg) body weight of emergency medications. Specifically, this system utilizes a color-coded length-based resuscitation tape to determine weight in kg for children and the drug doses associated with the corresponding weight and color zone.
