SARS CoV-2 coronavirus, the virus responsible for COVID-19, has been identified as a new and emerging infectious disease resulting in a pandemic. With the WHO urging countries to brace for the impacts of COVID-19 on their population, our app aims to identify how at-risk individuals are experiencing and managing infection. There is an urgent to understand the individual and community transmission risk better. While there is a growing understanding of COVID-19 experiences, there are still gaps of knowledge in the spectrum of the disease and the epidemiology of those affected and the impact on their health and well-being. The purpose of the app is to assess how to best utilize real-time data to track symptoms and locations to best understand where and who are most affected by COVID-19. Further, by using individual reports, rather than passive measures of location, we are able to better understand human experiences with the infection throughout their daily lives. This app aims to utilize self-reported intra-day measures of COVID-19 symptom and potential exposure that an individual may have throughout the day.

HealthLynked has developed its own Corona-virus tracker app that allows users to self-report symptoms, report positive tests for the virus, and alert contacts so that they can seek medical care to prevent spread. The app includes an interactive map of COVID cases and deaths from around the world, the latest worldwide COVID-19 related news, user forums, and live chat. in addition, you can learn about the Omicron variant and use an interactive map for the US. We continue to report the latest WHO data indicated by the following Criteria: WHO confirmed infections are shown in RED, WHO confirmed deaths are shown in BLACK. User can self-report and they are divided into three categories: Users that have NOT tested positive for the virus and are asymptomatic are shown as DARK GREEN Users that have NOT tested Positive for the virus but have symptoms such as a fever, cough or shortness of breath are shown as YELLOW Users who Self Report that they have tested Positive for the Corona Virus are shown as PINK Users can update their Information as symptoms change and these changes are reflected on the Map. The tracker also shows all the latest news about the virus from around the world to keep users updated on the Virus. Users can also engage in real-time chat with the chat feature.
