The app also lets you filter albums by genre or decade, and edit the genre and release date of albums you add to the app. The app includes several lists of essential albums across a wide variety of genres and decades and shows suggestions for albums you can add to the app. The lists of essential albums include 101 essential albums, Apple Music's top 100 Albums, Rolling Stone Magazine's top 500 albums (2003 and 2020 versions), National Public Radio's and BBC's list of 50 essential classical albums and lists of essential jazz and bluegrass albums.
