For over 150 years this story remained untold. “The Story of Pélagie” app was created to bring a face to the many brave African American women who remain faceless in the history books, and whose lives made a real difference in America. From that moment on, the app works 100% offline. The house where Pélagie and her family lived still stands today. Located in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, a town with one of the largest collections of French colonial architecture, the Amoureux House was built in 1792 and is a present-day museum open to the public.
