GIG Mobile is an extension to the GIG Immersive Learning System that allows users to join sessions using AR-enabled phones and tablets. The app is free to download and use for anyone with a GIGXR Immersive Learning System account. Key features: Remote and/or socially distanced student groups connect with their instructor, who is wearing Microsoft HoloLens 2 mixed reality headset, using their AR-enabled iPhone. High quality holographic session content is transported to the student location during the session and updated live as the instructor makes changes. Students use the augmented reality features of their Apple device to select a location in their room for the holographic content to be placed.
