Pitt State vs Iowa ABD Age to Purchase Usage & Stats

The Iowa Department of Revenue’s Alcoholic Beverages Division provides this app as a supplemental tool to assist Iowa retailers in verifying the age of customers while selling or serving alcohol, tobacco, alternative nicotine or vapor products. The app has built-in scanning functionality using the camera feature to scan state-issued physical IDs and verify Iowa Mobile IDs. The capability to verify mobile IDs from additional states will be added as information becomes available. The app also provides access to an age to purchase calendar and a date of birth calculator to assist in age verification. Links to both the I-PACT and I-PLEDGE Retailer Training Programs are included in the app. This app is strictly a supplemental tool and is not a replacement for any reasonable and necessary steps or factual evidence that may be needed to determine the age of a person. No personal information of the customer is stored on the device.
