Navigame Signal Flag vs iRegatta Flags Usage & Stats

Navigame Signal Flags is an efficient and amusing way to test your skills in recognizing flags – both for training new sailors as well as keeping the experienced sailors up-to-date. The test is useful for all types of maritime educations, both merchant and leisure. Navigame Signal Flags is built on the most efficient learning method. Flags are divided into 4 levels to ease the learning process. Each level introduces new flags and repeats already known flags from earlier levels in the app. Level 1 includes letters A to J. Level 2 includes letters K to T. Level 3 includes letters U to X and Answering pennant and three Substitute pennants. Level 4 includes ciphers 0 to 9. Each level contains 10 tasks consisting of 3 questions. To pass a level you must have at least 24 correct answers. Final test contains 20 tasks consisting of 3 questions. To pass the final test you must have at least 54 correct answers. Questions are: Letter / number Appearance Phonetic name Morse code Meaning The are mainly three types of tasks in the test are: NAME: You see the letter + phonetic name, you must recognize the flag´s: 1. appearance 2. meaning 3. morse code APPEARANCE: You see a flag, and you must recognize the flag´s: 1. letter + phonetic name 2. meaning 3. morse code LIGHT: You see a morse code and must recognize the letter´s: 1. name 2. flag appearance 3. meaning In-app In Navigame Signal Flags you can buy and use an index list to check all signal flags and pennants. iRegatta Flags is an overview of the maritime signal flags from A-Z, number flags, the substitute pennants and the answering pennant. You can tab on any letter flag and see what they mean according to the "International Code of Signal". A separate section describes how the flags are use in sailing regattas. You can see how the race committee signals the starting procedure, early starts, postponements and race abandonment. The "Rule book" section has quotes from ISAF's "Racing Rules of Sailing 2009-2012" that relate to the flags for the start procedure and the shortened course.
