Conform celor mai recente date publicate de INS la începutul anului 2024, situația financiară a populației României are două vulnerabilități majore: rata foarte scăzută a economiilor (6% din veniturile lunare) și procentul foarte scăzut al veniturilor pasive (doar 1% din veniturile lunare sunt generate din randamentul investițiilor). În medie, poporul român economisește foarte puțin, iar veniturile pasive generate de investiții sunt insignifiante. Astfel, majoritatea gospodăriilor trăiesc de la o lună la alta și situația financiară a familiei depinde de veniturile active, adică capacitatea adulților de a munci și de a câștiga bani. Pe scurt: vulnerabilitate și dependență! Prin utilizarea aplicației MiM îmi doresc să ajut cât mai mulți utilizatori să își crească procentul de economisire prin evidența cheltuielilor și reducerea risipei, ceea ce va permite obținerea independenței financiare mai devreme în viață. Obiectivele concrete sunt următoarele: rata de economisire ar trebui să fie 25%, fondurile să fie investite la un randament mediu nominal de 10% iar independența financiară să fie atinsă în trepte: 3 luni de cheltuieli ale familiei să fie acoperite din randamentul investițiilor până la vârsta de 30 ani, 6 luni de cheltuieli până 35 ani, 9 luni de cheltuieli până la 40 ani și 12 luni de cheltuieli până la 45 ani.
