My Amp Life vs REMAIN! Usage & Stats
Whether you are newly diagnosed or have been living with HIV for many years, Amp has the holistic information, tools, resources, and community to help you thrive and live your best life.
Amp was co-developed with people living with HIV and HIV service providers using human-centered design. We engaged with over 250 individuals across the country through multiple rounds of focus groups, interviews, prototyping, surveys, and meetings with advisory boards of people living with HIV and service providers. This iterative process resulted in a program that aligns with the wants and needs of the community and organizations.
Amp is designed to meet people living with HIV wherever they are. It has engaging and useful content, tools, community features, and resources whether people are newly diagnosed or have been living with HIV for many years.
Dealing with HIV can be challenging, but you don’t have to go through it alone.

REMAIN is a research study app designed to provide health and wellness information and resources relevant to adults in the United States. REMAIN covers a range of health and lifestyle topics to support users’ diverse backgrounds and varying needs over time.
The principal investigators for this study are Pamina Gorbach, DrPH, at the University of California, Los Angeles, Lisa Hightow-Weidman, MD, MPH, at Florida State University, and Sean Young, PhD, at the University of California, Irvine. The HMP platform was created by Lisa Hightow-Weidman, a public health scientist.
