GhalamPhotos vs Digital Frame Lite Usage & Stats
GhalamPhotos is a digital photo frame designed for iPads (although it works on iPhones, it is designed more for iPads).
Here is a list of features in this app:
- Main display shows Time and Date of the day.
- At the top of the screen optionally, the app display date, camera model, and location of the current image. You can select to turn this information off in the Settings window. Please note that location information is not available for images from Google Photos albums.
- The interface allows users to interactively pinch and zoom on the images.
- If the user allows for calendar access, the app is able to search all events for the day once a day, and look for the keyword, "birthday". If there is a birthday event, it will be displayed on the screen. Example of an event: "Joe's birthday"
- Swipe left or right on the screen to go to next picture or back
- A tap on the screen invokes controls:
- Previous, Pause/Play, and Next controls
- Share button allows users to directly share the current image via typical tools
- Settings button to invoke the settings window
- Shows the current album selected and number of images available
- Setting window will allow users for the following configurations:
- Hide or show information about images
- Chose to random or sequential selection of images
- Play video option is only available for Apple Photos. If option selected, videos in Apple Photos album will automatically play with sound muted.
- Option to show a map for those photos with location information
- Select Apple Photos or Google Photos at the top of Settings Screen.
- Image time is the interval in minutes before loading the next image.
- Transition used between images
- Weather config allows for showing weather information on the main screen
- Tapping on the current temp/weather on the main screen, shows 10 Day Forecast.
- When access to Apple or Google photos has been established, a list of available albums will appear to select from.

Do you want to recycle an old iPad as a Digital Photo Frame?
Digital Frame Lite gives a new life to your old iPad or iPhone. A very easy to use app to show randomly all the photos in an album from your Photo Library. Simply select the shared album from the list and slideshow will start. The only thing you must configure are the presentation time of each photo and the start and end times of the presentation.
To exit the slideshow, do a swipe (up or down) gesture.
To load next or previous photo, do a swipe (left or right) gesture.
In the main window you can select the album to show. You must have at least one album created fo that.
This free version is limited to 50 photos and not allow to change presentation time and don't have auto off feature.
