Microphone Studio vs Stereo Mic Position Calculator Usage & Stats

Microphone Studio allows you to connect multiple iOS devices / microphones together wirelessly, acting as if it were a virtual mixing console. Just open Microphone Studio on multiple iOS devices and you'll immediately be able to connect them in a session. Once connected, a single tap is all it's needed to start recording with all microphones at once. After recording is complete, all the recorded audio tracks are instantly available on each device, ready for mixing, playback, and sharing. You can also conveniently annotate recorded audio with time markers and custom notes. --- If you're aiming for real studio quality, instead of using built-in microphone, you can attach any professional microphone to your device (use a XLR-to-TRRS cable) and still connect it with others in session without having to use expensive hardware like mixing console. --- Here are some examples of how Microphone Studio could be used: 1. Podcasters - use Microphone Studio to record interviews on the go, where interviewer and interviewee use their own phone to record themselves into a separate track 2. Musicians - allow each band member to record their instrument into a separate track using their own phone 3. Film makers - record audio from multiple points on set for reacher combined sound 4. Journalists - similar to podcasters, capture interviews, where interviewer and interviewee use their own phones to record themselves into a separate track We're courious how you'll use it - please let us know! In stereo recording, to capture an orchestra’s full spatiality, the recording angle of your microphone system needs to match the conductor’s “viewing angle”. The setup needed to achieve a certain angle is hard to guess—it involves higher mathematics. If you go too big, the orchestra will concentrate in the middle of the stereo panorama. If you choose to small an angle, the orchestra will get pushed towards the speakers. Both you'll want to avoid. Dial in your parameters (ensemble width and microphone distance), and have your setup displayed in a nice Input your parameters (in meters) with the sliders, or use the text fields. If you swipe to the next page, you’ll see a figure depicting the dimensions of the microphone setup—true to scale.
