FlavorBot vs Feeds: Flexible Meal Planning Usage & Stats
You've got ingredients in the fridge, but no idea what to make...
> ENTER FLAVORBOT!
Tell it which ingredients you have, and it'll generate you a recipe using them!
No more staring hungrily at the fridge the day before you do a grocery stock-up.
You can also ask for a specific recipe! Want a spaghetti bolognese - or something fancy like arancini?
Just ask FlavorBot; it'll tell you how and with what ingredients.
Sticking with a specific diet?
You can specify dietary preferences like vegetarian or vegan in the Settings window.
> CUSTOMIZATION
Your robotic companion in the app is called Gary.
In the Settings window, you can change his colour and the app icon.
Make sure to tap on him to make him dance!
> HOW IT WORKS
FlavorBot uses ChatGPT behind the scenes to generate recipes.
Your request and specified dietary preference is sent to OpenAI, and the resulting recipe is presented to you.
> IN-APP PURCHASES
Using ChatGPT unfortunately is not free.
FlavorBot allows you to generate 5 recipes for free.
For the 6th recipe, you'll be asked to choose between:
- A one-time fee
- or, allow advertising via Googla AdMob to continue using the app for free
You can remove advertising in the app by switching to the one-time fee any time through the Settings window.
Please note that Google AdMob (and related analytics) is NOT running in the app unless you allow advertising, and remains disabled if you choose the one-time fee.
