Geotech is an educational game as an integrated geotechnical engineering education module for students to systematically comprehend the whole process of a design for a geotechnical project from theories, field investigation, experiments, to practical designs. The game is developed based on a design of geothermal piles which represents an innovative and sustainable geotechnical solution to the global climate change issue. The gameplay is story- based and task-driven for engaging students with geotechnical concepts in a pleasant way. We apply the techniques of multiphysics enriched mixed reality to improve the students’ experience. Geotech intended to lead students to explore the invisible underground space and to visualize the multiphysical process (i.e., stress field, flow phenomenon, heat conduction, and thermos-mechanical interaction) in the underground.
