The app contains the descriptions from Wikipedia for all 1,960 bird species that occur in Southern Africa.  In addition to the texts, the app also includes a picture for each bird species, a map showing the distribution for just under half, and more than 250 audio samples. Once installed, the app works fully offline. No internet connection is required, making it ideal for the African bush. The free version includes the 30 most important species. All species can be unlocked by country through in-app purchases.
