It all began in 1912 when Evanglos Tseppas, a chef from Greece founded his first bakery under the name of his ancestors at Farouk St.,(currently known as Elgeish St.) in Cairo, serving the royal family and high end customers . TSEPPAS excelled in French patisserie and boulangerie productions thus far. Taken over by MG group in the 50's, we introduced our signature line of oriental desserts and letting history take its course. We succeeded in combining the decadent french pastry quality along with highly demanded middle eastern sharki desserts mastering the best of both worlds.

من قلب القاهرة بدأت مسيرة حلواني العبد .. تحديداً في عام ١٩٧٤ م عند افتتاح أول فرع في وسط البلد في شارع طلعت حرب .. كان ذلك العام هو البداية الحقيقية لكتابة تاريخ العبد وحفر اسماً كبيراً في صناعة الحلويات الشرقية والغربية والمخبوزات والآيس كريم .. وفي عام ١٩٩٦ م تم افتتاح فرع آخر في شارع ٢٦ يوليو في وسط البلد كذلك. ومنذ البداية كان هدفنا الأول هو مشاركة عملائنا البهجة والفرحة في المناسبات المختلفة، ورسم البسمة على وجوه أفراد الأسرة المصرية بتنوع المنتجات ذات الجودة العالية. The journey of El Abd Patisserie began in 1974 when the first branch was opened in downtown on Talaat Harb Street. That’s when we started writing the history of El Abd and carving a big name in the production of Eastern and Western sweets as well as a bakery. Later, in 1996, another branch was opened on 26th July Street in downtown. Since the very beginning, our main goal is to share with people their happiness and joy on various occasions and draw a smile on the faces of Egyptian family members by offering a variety of high-quality products.
