The Retail Pro Companion is the latest offering in the line of iOS applications for use with Retail Pro. The Retail Pro Companion is being provided as a launch pad for ancillary, or helper, applications that work in conjunction with the base functionality of Retail Pro Prism and/or Retail Pro 9. In its initial release, the Retail Pro Companion is being offered with two applications, the PI Tracker and the Price Checker.
PI Tracker: Performing a physical inventory in your stores is never a task we look forward to; however, making it is easy as possible can go a long way to making it less painful. The PI Tracker is an easy to use physical inventory application that can be used with both Retail Pro Prism and Retail Pro 9 to perform inventory stock checks for your stores, either for the whole store or by department within your stores.
Price Checker: Customer engagement is key, and the Price Checker gives your associates the freedom to stay by the consumer’s side on the floor while looking up prices, rather than interrupt the sale by having to go to the cashwrap.
The PI Tracker and the Price Checker provides a retailer the flexibility to leverage any mobile device in their stores running iOS, including their own iPhones, removing the need to have dedicated and expensive equipment for these simple business needs.
