Skjáttan is a wallet app that holds official certificates and permits, including a driving license from Akstovan and Samleikin ID from Talgildu Føroyar. The purpose of Skjáttan is to give citizens in the Faroe Islands a digital ID, for example to prove residence or age and to prove they have a driving license if they are stopped in traffic.
