This panorama app is characterized by its simple operation.
Focal length and aperture are set using a slider and the required panorama individual images can be read off immediately with their angle information.
This also allows you to quickly determine the focal length limit at which the individual photos no longer have the overlap you specified.
The calculator calculates panoramas with spherical or cylindrical projection.
Besides the panorama angle size, the minimum overlap of the single photos and also the minimum angle steps of the pamorama head are considered in the calculation.
For the maximum image sharpness of the panorama, a calculator for the hyperfocal distance is also integrated, which also tells you at which aperture the limit to diffraction blur is exceeded.
Among other things, you can also specify the horizontal and vertical angle of view.
This makes it possible to use special lenses for the panorama calculation.
You can also determine e.g. the circle of confusion CoC, which you need for a printout with certain dimensions and viewing distance.
If your customer gives you a fixed CoC, you can also use that.
Since the setting of your camera, lens, focal length and panorama head combination is important for the nodal point, so that there is no parallax shift between foreground and background, which can lead to the fact that the panorama cannot be stitched, I have integrated a guide to the topic.
Since I am also a photographer and have specialized in virtual tours, this panorama calculator has emerged from practice and has become a constant companion for me.
