Sub Cipher vs Secret.ly Usage & Stats

Sub Cipher is an easy-to-use Encoder/Decoder app, which can encode or decode "simple substitution ciphers." It works on the "Caesar" and "Atbash" style cipher methods, which are simple offset-alphabet ciphers. The well-known "Rot13" cipher is one of these. Simply type or copy-paste your encoded or decoded text to and from e-mail, messages, social media, and it is immediately converted for you. Up to 2,000 characters can be converted at a time. You can also capture the settings you have dialed in (as lines of text) to save in another document. This can be useful if you are publishing a newsletter or book of ciphers, and want to keep the settings you used with each cipher along with the cipher itself. Here are the main features: *Easy to use. Type into the plain-text or the cypher-text box, and the converted text is immediately displayed. *Easy to transfer. You can select all the converted text and paste it into any other text document. *Easy to adjust. Any substitution offset, forward or reverse can be dialed in. *Easy to save. The settings you dial in can also be saved as text for your notes. Caveat Emptor: These ancient styles of ciphers are very simple and easy to decode! This is simply a fun utility, and is not intended for serious "secret message" work.

Secret.ly© allows you to hide and reveal data on images imperceptibly without any visual changes through steganography techniques. Steganography is a set of ancient techniques that consist of hiding information in plain sight but isn't a form of cryptography because it only hides the existence of that data. That's why Secret.ly uses a customizable secret key that is automatically encrypted as well as the data that will be hidden, ensuring security and inviolability. With Secret.ly you can: • Store sensitive data in plain view securely. • Hide and reveal any type of text or image within images. • Use customizable passwords on each image with hidden data to reveal their content. • Save and share the hidden data. Privacy and security - Secret.ly encrypts all data and hash values of the secret keys used in the app. Even without setting a customizable secret key, a default encrypted one is used to prevent third parties from accessing your data. - Only the same key that encrypted a file is able to decrypt it and it is not possible to recover forgotten keys. - We do not collect or store any data used in the application, not even passwords (secret keys). To share images with hidden data, make sure that the chosen app or communication channel allows to send images at their original size without compression. Compressing an encoded image to reduce its size can corrupt or completely erase the hidden data, making it impossible to decode them.
