Application Description:
This application was developed with funding from the Northeast/Caribbean AIDS Education and Training Center Program and was designed for practicing clinicians to provide information on HIV medications and drug interactions with commonly co-prescribed psychotropic medications. The three tabs at the bottom of the application include: HIV-Psychotropic Interactions, Drug Metabolism, and Common Web Resources. The Common Web Resources tab contains links to external websites and phone numbers for information and national warmlines that provide clinical support with HIV care, substance use, Hepatitis C, and COVID-19.
The data set for the drug interaction output for this application was developed using the Department of Health and Human Services Guidelines for the Use of Antiretroviral Agents in Adults and Adolescents Living with HIV and other various sources. The application was developed and launched under the direction of VirologyEd Consultants, LLC.
