従来のプッシュ通知型服薬管理アプリではどうしても慣れが生じてしまい、やがて機械的にタップするようになりついには煩わしくなって使わなくなってしまうことがありました。また、時間で自動的に送られてくる通知という性質から、予想外の場所・タイミング・状況で薬剤名の入った服薬のお知らせがスマートフォンに表示されて、知られたくない病気のことが知られたくない人に知られてしまうということもありました。このアプリ「飲んだっけ?」は通知を受け取るのではなく、ふと気になった時に自分でアプリを開いてシートに残っている薬の数を確認することで飲み忘れや二重服用を防止し、さらには服薬情報の流出も防ごうという、逆転の発想により服薬管理を補助するツールです。道具は使いやすくなければいけません。場所も時間も選ばずに使えるべきです。それを妨げるのは人の目です。ならば、最悪道具を使っているところを誰かに見られたとしても被害は最小限に抑えられるようにしよう。それが、薬をそのままの名前で正直に表示するのではなく、本人だけはわかるニックネームを付けてそれによって薬の情報を表示する「カモフラージュモード」です。アプリ利用者はまず自分で薬剤情報を入力します。アプリはその入力された情報に従い、設定服薬タイミングに服薬すべき薬剤の服薬数を総残数から引き、その数値をアプリ上に表示します。毎回薬袋に残る薬を全部数えても仕方がないので、ぱっと見て分かる１シートあたりの残数をメインに押し出しています。何かのきっかけで自分が服薬したのかしようとしていたのか分からなくなってしまった時、利用者はアプリを開き、そこに表示されている数字と自分の目の前にある薬の実際の数字を比べ、履歴ページを調べることにより、実際はどうだったのかを客観的に判断する手がかりを得られます。また、アプリは薬剤の残数に応じてその薬剤名の表示色を変化させます。半分になった時グレーに、4分の１になった時に赤で表示するようになります。これにより視覚的に次の通院日までの時間を意識でき、土日祝日や休診日を意識したスケジュール調整がしやすくなります。このアプリは、自分の服薬状況を客観的に確認するためのサポートツールです。医療行為やそれに準ずる行為を行う意図はありません。
