What CareHQ can help treat A CareHQ GP can help treat most medical needs, sicknesses or injuries such as: • common colds and respiratory issues • contraceptive options • UTIs & STIs • migraines • repeat scripts for your pharmacy • acne • health counselling • off-work certificates • required lab tests • ACC forms or extensions for mild injuries For ongoing complex health issues, for certificates that require a physical exam, such as for driving or sports or requests for certain medications, you may be asked to see your regular GP. If you have a medical emergency such as severe pain, collapse, or shortness of breath, please call 111 immediately. See a CareHQ Nurse for UTI’s, STI’s or sick notes A friendly CareHQ registered nurse can support you if you require a sick note for up to 7 days, have a urinary tract infection or a sexually transmitted infection. If you require a medical certificate for more than 7 days, a certificate for flight cancellations or insurance purposes, or for a certificate extension, please book to see a GP. How CareHQ works • You select from the available appointment dates and times and can choose the gender of your GP. Your appointment will be 10-15 minutes unless you’ve booked an extended consult. • Register for CareHQ or log in if you’ve used us before. Registering with CareHQ doesn’t change your relationship with your enrolled GP. You’ll need your debit or credit card handy and any medications to include in your booking notes. • You'll receive a consultation link 15 minutes before your appointment time. Simply tap the link to go through to the waiting room. • Make sure you are in a quiet, private space with good internet connection when you join the consult. • After the consult, your prescription or lab test form may be emailed, a follow-up appointment may be arranged or recommended and a referral made if needed. Pricing for a consultation depends on the clinic type you choose, your age, CSC holder status & whether you book a standard or extended appointment.
