The Korea JoongAng Daily is a leading English newspaper of Korea, first published in October 17th, 2000. With its motto, ‘Your window to Korea,” it strives to correctly inform the world of the politics, economy, social affairs, and culture of the Republic of Korea. The Korea JoongAng Daily contributed in introducing and promoting the Republic of Korea to the whole world by producing the official Olympic athletes’ village newspaper during the Olympics and the Paralympics. The Korea JoongAng Daily’s articles have appeared on a national English certification test, and are also being used for Japan’s college entrance exams and exams for national and Seoul city public official exams. Furthermore, the Korea JoongAng Daily is running a popular Naver audio clip channel titled “New-Yorker-Read 3 Minute News”. The main sections of the newspaper are National, Business, Opinion, Culture, and Sports. Each Saturday, an issue of “Think English” is published for readers who wish to study English.
