Calf Raise vs KINVENT Usage & Stats
*** Designed by physiotherapists and sports scientists***
*** Based on validated work published in the Journal of Strength & Conditioning Research and Journal of Sports Sciences***
Calf Raise is the first scientifically designed app to measure Calf Raise performance from videos using your iPad or iPhone. With an innovative design and validated tracking algorithms, Calf Raise brings science to your practice!
The Calf Raise (rise) or Heel Raise (rise) test is often used in clinical practice and research to assess the strength and endurance of the calf muscles. The test involves going up on your toes and back down as many times as you can. The test has excellent reliability and is able to detect side-to-side differences and injury deficits, especially when tracking more than just the number of raises! The Calf Raise app lets you do that.
Want to measure power and work with an external load? No problem! Enter the additional load used to test strength more than endurance. Calf Raise is versatile to fit your testing needs.
Calf Raise gives you detailed information on your Calf Raise (Heel Raise) performance using the camera on your iOS device. Calf Raise tracks the path of a circle placed on your heel and its full trajectory curve. With three simple clicks, you get total and peak heel height, power, and work! Calf Raise also calculates a fatigue index by comparing the first and last repetition, and provides a convenient place to record the total number completed!
All you need to do is enter your details, record a repetitive Calf Raise performance, adjust the tracking marker, and select the start, first peak, and last peak, and voila! Do the test on the right and left legs to compare between sides and detect any asymmetries.
FEATURES:
• Videos. Record videos straight from the app or import as many as you like from your camera roll.
• Metronome. Select your metronome: 30 Hz, 60 Hz, 120 Hz, or none
• Additional load. Add external load to assess strength more than endurance.
• Multi-user. Calf Raise allows you to create as many users as you want. Monitor all your patients, clients, or athletes on your iDevice.
• History. Record as many Calf Raise tests as you want for each user. With Calf Raise, you can track the evolution of your performance over time, and compare your right and left legs.
• Export. Export data to a CSV file to do your own analysis.
• Design. Beautiful, intuitive design.
