Just pick a favorite animal or object—from pandas to dinosaurs to apples and so much more—and line them up to measure anything and everything around you. Or, take your whole family on an exciting guided “math adventure” and explore the math around your house or in your neighborhood—earning rewards along the way!
The Measure! Everything! app offers
• Math learning opportunities to kids, anywhere they are
• Adventures-based math exploration that gets kids up and out and beyond the screen to play
• Talk prompts to help grown-ups have math conversations with kids
• Help for showing kids that math is exciting, relevant, and everywhere!
MathTalk was created in 2015 to help young children, particularly those from economically distressed communities, develop positive math identities by creating regular opportunities to discover and interact with math in their daily lives, wherever they are. Through delivery of unique resources, support, guidance, and interactive learning opportunities, MathTalk helps make it easy for parents and other adults in children's lives to regularly engage with them around math, together.
