Your passwords and PINs are immediately hashed after you enter them and are mathematically nearly impossible to reverse engineer. Simply put: without your password, your encrypted data may as well not exist. D1 synchronizes your encrypted journal entries with a remote server so you can access them across all your devices by simply changing your User ID in D1's settings. You can also choose to enable biometric authentication, which will take advantage of either Touch ID or Face ID sensors if available on your device to lock out local attackers as an added layer of security.
