Welcome to NatureScot’s Farm Biodiversity Scotland App. NatureScot is Scotland’s nature agency, and promotes, cares for and improves Scotland’s nature and landscapes. NatureScot recognises the significant contribution that farmers and crofters make to maintaining and improving biodiversity in Scotland. This free-to-use app, owned by NatureScot, has been designed to help farmers and crofters carry out a biodiversity audit, so they can: - Identify and map the habitats on their farms and crofts, to produce a Biodiversity Map - Carry out a simple condition assessment of the habitats on their farms and crofts. Ultimately, the aim is to encourage and help farmers and crofters to manage and monitor their contributions to biodiversity and to align with and signpost to appropriate measures within the developing new rural support framework. It has been designed for farmers and crofters to use out in the field, and to work offline if required in rural areas with low connectivity.
