SoilDoc vs NutriZones Usage & Stats

Soil structure is an essential component of soil fertility. The spade diagnosis is a suitable method for assessing the soil structure and other attributes of soil quality from observations such as odour, colour, roots, soil particles or soil layers. The SoilDoc app guides you through the spade diagnosis and the observations for a complete assessment of a selected soil. The app can replace former printed instructions. The SoilDoc app asks questions about the soil, which can be answered with a simple click. Additional information and example pictures help to find the answers. During the evaluation, the app collects all observations made and generates a report. The report is stored on the mobile phone and can then be exported in csv, txt or html format and saved as a PDF file on a computer. The simple archiving of the observations facilitates the comparison of different surveys at the same location.

NutriZones • Provides guidance for precise spreading of Variable Rate Fertilization (VRF) prescription maps. • Traces the user’s position in the field and • Provides the zone specific fertilizer application rates in kg/ha product, nitrogen or optional as driving speed (km/h). NutriZones uses Variable Rate Fertilization (VRF) prescription maps created by NutriGuide® or TerraZo (Josephinum Research, Wieselburg, AT). Satellite imagery maps and vegetation index (NDVI) are used to break the field into multiple zones that have similar plant growth, which allows for improved nutrient management accuracy. By applying the right rate in the right zone, nutrients are allocated where they will have the best response. This improves crop yield, quality and standability (avoids lodging).
