HRV Team vs OnBeat - group heart rate app Usage & Stats
HRV Team is an extremely powerful and highly specialized tool that helps an instructor improve team performance under pressure. Unlike most heart rate variability apps, HRV Team does not use a number, or metric, to represent heart rate variability. Instead HRV Team displays the beat-by-beat heart rate in way that is easy for instructors to use to guide training. Instructors can follow the moment-by-moment stress response of each team member and give them immediate feedback. By recording the heart rate of each member superimposed on the camera view of the iPad, team members can review their performance afterward and receive detailed feedback on their use of techniques to improve performance and resilience.
HRV Team has the following capabilities:
⁃ displays the heart rate from each student in a training session simultaneously (7-10 student recommended maximum in a session)
⁃ display settings can be changed to vary heart rate and time scale and to zoom in on one student if desired
⁃ offers the option of recording audio and video simultaneously with heart rate
⁃ can display heart rate tracings superimposed over the camera view
⁃ saves the heart rate data for later review
⁃ saves any recordings made for later review
⁃ heart rate data can be emailed as a csv file for further analysis
⁃ video recordings can be exported to Photos
NOTE: HRV Team has been tested with the following heart rate monitors: Zephyr HxM Smart, Polar H7, FirstBeat. Other monitors may not function with the app. You will need to purchase a heart rate monitor separately.
HRV Team is meant to be used by instructors familiar with stress, resilience and heart-rate changes under stress, such as those taught by Ibernetics or by the International Performance Resilience and Efficiency Program, www.proresilience.org.
HRV Team can also be used by those who are familiar with teaching HRV biofeedback.

The best fitness class cardio app doesn't require days to set up. Download OnBeat on your iPhone or iPad and try it today. Simply hook up your device to a TV through an Apple TV or HDMI/Lightning adapter.
OnBeat is a "bring your own heart rate monitor" platform. Your clients use what they already own. Your gym doesn't have to sell expensive proprietary heart rate monitors -- use whatever you want.
Connect up to 12 Bluetooth heart rate monitors simultaneously with no extra hardware. If you need to connect more than 12, you will need to purchase an antenna from us -- email support@onbeat.fit to learn more.
Does your gym use MINDBODY? Sync your account within OnBeat to import class lists. This saves time by eliminating manual entry of your clients. Just follow the prompts in the app when registering.
OnBeat is designed for both small and large gyms to display cardio performance during a class. Your clients bring their own heart rate monitor or you can loan them out. Prior to starting a class, link their heart rate monitor to your app and it remembers them for future classes.
OnBeat works with most modern Bluetooth heart rate monitors. Unfortunately FitBits and Apple Watches are not supported because they do not share with 3rd party apps. If they change their sharing will be sure to support them.
