Projectile motion is a form of motion experienced by an object or particle (a projectile) that is thrown near the Earth's surface and moves along a curved path under the action of gravity only (in particular, the effects of air resistance are assumed to be negligible). This curved path was shown by Galileo to be a parabola. The study of such motions is called ballistics, and such a trajectory is a ballistic trajectory.
The only force of significance that acts on the object is gravity, which acts downward, thus imparting to the object a downward acceleration. Because of the object's inertia, no external horizontal force is needed to maintain the horizontal velocity component of the object. Taking other forces into account, such as friction from aerodynamic drag or internal propulsion such as in a rocket, requires additional analysis.
A ballistic missile is a missile only guided during the relatively brief initial powered phase of flight, and whose subsequent course is governed by the laws of classical mechanics.
Projectile motion equations:
- Horizontal velocity component: vx = v * cos(θ)
- Vertical velocity component: vy = v * sin(θ)
- Time of flight: t = 2 * vy / g
- Range of the projectile: R = 2* vx * vy / g
- Maximum height: ymax = vy^2 / (2 * g)

Unit Circle Coordinate Calculator calculates the sine, cosine (x , y) values of any given angle.
Features:
• Calculates the sine, cosine (x , y) values of any given angle.
• Calculates the slope (m) for the line.
• Output the formula for the line.
• Output the x coordinate and y coordinate by giving the new distance from origin.
• Result is instant and copy-able.
The Unit circle is a circle which is centered at the origin and which has the radius of 1 unit. It is represented by the equation:
x² + y² = 1.
The values of x and y are given by trigonometric functions as:
x = sin θ
y = cos θ
So the value of sin θ and cos θ should such that the sum of their squares should be equal to 1.
The Slope (m):
m = change in y / change in x
Equation of a straight line:
y = mx
