DR. KAISER vs Gear Calc by Frenco Usage & Stats
The new DR. KAISER app makes it possible to calculate all relevant parameters related to dressing and grinding. The app is aimed at inexperienced users as well as experts.
Guided-Mode
The new Guided-Mode guides you step-by-step through the selection of the optimal dressing parameters for your grinding application.
Expert mode
The Expert-Mode supports experienced users in the calculation of dressing parameters.
Export function
All calculated parameters can be exported and archived as a PDF file. For this purpose, the app offers the option of providing the calculated parameters with information on the user, machine and application.
Multilingual
The app can be set to different languages to provide full functionality to all users.
Metric and imperial system
All parameters can be calculated in metric or imperial system, so that all users can work with their preferred units.

Gear Calc is an Application by Frenco GmbH for the calculation of involute gearings.
The data put in by the user and the calculated values can be shared easily with an integrated share function.
The following Input variables are supported. Some variables are optional.
- Internal spline / External spline
- Number of teeth
- Module
- Pressure angle
- Helix angle
- Tooth thickness / Space width
- Pin Diameter
- Dimension over / between circles
- Profile shift
- Profile shift factor
Apart from a mathematical approximation of the pin diameter there is an option to add pin diameters to a pin diameter list. The Application calculates both the dimension over / between circles for the approximation and the closest available pin diameter from the pin diameter list. The user can also input a custom pin diameter.
