In 1965, the first radio station in Qatar was established. It was broadcast on Fridays and occasions, the Holy Quran, religious programs and news. In 1989 it was broadcast to 3 hours In 1985, a new French-language service was launched, which began broadcasting three hours a day on the medium wave, a unique service in the entire region. Since 1992, Radio Qatar has provided its listeners with a new service by establishing the Holy Quran Radio, which deals with the Holy Quran and its sciences, the Hadith and the books of interpretation, as well as the treatment of many contemporary issues.
