UGPass for digital authentication, electronic signatures, and company seals. “UGPASS” is a Uganda’s Digital Identity Programme for Ugandans and Residents of Uganda. UGPASS enables users to utilize their existing smartphones to register for a securely verified digital certificate in order to authenticate themselves online for seamless and secure access to a variety of e-services and use advanced electronic signatures to securely e-sign documents. • Enables Self-Enrollment options: National IDs cards (Foundational ID), e-Passports for Citizens, and Passport/e-Passport for Residents. • Serves as an Authentication Token (Random Numbers & Authentication PIN). • Manages Digital Certificates for Authentication and Qualified electronic signatures. • Authenticates Subscribers during Electronic Signature process, using PIN for Digital Signature Certificate.
