Campusul Virtual al UPT este dezvoltat din 2008 de Centrul de ID/IFR si e-Learning al Universităţii Politehnica Timişoara, mediu educaţional online de suport academic pentru toate facultăţile UPT. CVUPT este platforma de educație online a UPT, axată pe oferirea de sistem de educaţie de tip blended learning pentru studenții la Master și doctorat din UPT şi oferirea de sistem de suport învăţământului la distanţă din UPT. CVUPT vine în sprijinul studenţilor actuali, ca o interfaţă de comunicare între administraţie, profesori şi studenţi şi o bază pentru interacţiunea nemijlocită dintre profesori şi studenţ in cadrul cursurilor.
