The Craigieburn Trails App has been created for recreational users of the Craigieburn Forest Park and the wider Castle Hill Basin area located in Canterbury, New Zealand. The app enables users to find out detailed information about the various mountain bike and walking trails in the area, as well as track their progress when on the actual trails using maps and an elevation profile. Webcam imagery and weather readings are also provided to give up-to-date information on the weather in the Castle Hill area, as well as a weather forecast provided by the Norwegian Meteorological Institute. While it is specifically aimed at the users of the Craigieburn Trails network, the app has been designed to also provide a useful resource for any recreational visitors to the Castle Hill area.
