Similarweb Product Updates: The August 2024 Edition

While many were off on holiday, the end of summer was busy here at Similarweb. This month, scrutinizing the data, we saw that:

  • In the US, the Coinbase exchange app had 16.7M monthly active users in July, up 71% year-over-year (YoY) and 3.1% month-over-month (MoM)
  • In the UK, Threads has been at about 1.3 million daily active users for the 7 days ended August 11, which is its best daily performance all year
  • Traffic to the website of the Luma Dream Machine video generator (lumalabs.ai) rose 33.4% between June and July, whereas traffic to chatgpt.com dipped slightly (-0.4%)
