Marriage Card Game vs Spades - Expert AI Usage & Stats
Marriage Card Game is a variant of rummy card game played with 21 cards. It is mostly played in India and surrounding countries. Marriage game is mostly known as of the rummy card game. This card tricking game is played with 3 decks of cards. The cards are distributed among 2 to 5 player; the players get 21 cards each. Marriage game is also considered as a tricky card game, because of its gameplay and number of cards played.
The marriage card game itself has multiple variants of the gameplay. Currently, there are 3 different versions of the game. Each variant is just a little different from the others. The rules are the most similar to the rummy games; the arrangement of sequences, sets and triplets are closely similar. Apart from the similarities, what makes Marriage different is the way the joker (maal) is shown. You can only know the joker cards once you have submitted the first set of cards.
How to Play
Playing Marriage Card Game is pretty simple. In the first half, you have two options: show three Sets or show seven Dublees. The option to show Dublees is only available when you are playing with 4 or more players. You can either show three sets/sequence/triplets or show seven pairs of the twin cards, e.g., 🂣🂣 or 🃁🃁. The twin cards have the same face and same card value. Since the game is played with 3 sets of cards, chances are high that you already have a few of the twin cards. Arranging the cards to form three Sets or seven Dublees is up to you. After you have shown your cards for the first round, you can see what the joker (Maal) card is.
The second half of the Marriage Card Game depends on what cards you showed in the first half. If you had shown seven Dublees, you only have 7 cards on hand. To declare the game you need one more Dublee cards. If you had previously shown three sets, you now have 12 cards on hand. You have to arrange the cards into three Sets. You can use the joker (Maal) cards to make the Sets. The rule that explains which cards are marked as jokers is quite different in this rummy variant. Once you have the 4 sets ready, you can declare the game
Winning the Marriage Game
Unlike like the Indian rummy variant, the person who declares the game doesn't necessarily win the game. The rules of winning are a bit closer to that of Nepalese variant. The game automatically calculates the points for each player based on the value of Maal the player holds, and the number and values of unarranged cards in hand. Calculating the points manually is pretty hards, so the beginners are intimidated by it.
The game is still in development, and we are seeking feedback from people who are already playing marriage in the real world with their friends. Tell us how the game is, and how it can better match your expectations.
Thank you for playing the Marriage Game.
