Data Usage Monitor vs RTR-NetTest 3G/4G/5G IPv4/6 Usage & Stats
If you have wondered how much data consumption you make throughout the day, you have considered finding out about the quality of your Wi-Fi signal and you want to know which is the best < b>coverage area by operators such as Movistar, Vodafone, Orange, among others CoCo is your application and also without ads
Data Consumption Control
CoCo allows you to control data consumption so that you know in which applications you are using the most data and be able to manage it better. You can configure your rate and control the data consumption made to avoid exceeding the contracted limits.
Controlling your data consumption will allow you to see in which applications you are spending your contracted gigabytes and manage the time you spend on the phone because, who wants to run out of data before the end of the month?
Measure Wi-Fi Consumption
You will be able to measure the Wi-Fi consumption and know the number of gigabytes that you invest in your applications, thus being able to control the Wi-Fi consumption that is made on your mobile.
Measuring Wi-Fi consumption is complementary to measuring data consumption since it will help you optimize the consumption of gigabytes that you make monthly.
Wifi Signal and Coverage Meter
CoCo also allows you to find out about the quality of the coverage and the signal of operators... Which will help you choose the best operator according to your area and coverage signal.
You will be able to measure the 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G signal and know the percentage of time that the mobile device is in 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G coverage and measure the signal in dBm. In this way, you can precisely know the connection's quality and later compare operators in your area.
Access to coverage and signal maps
CoCo allows you to access coverage and signal maps so you can discover which areas of your country, region, or state have better or worse quality depending on the technology and the chosen operator.
History of your average level of coverage and signal
The signal meter will allow you to compare and analyze your coverage and signal levels on a daily, weekly, monthly, or even quarterly basis. In this way, you can check if the poor coverage or connection failures are due to a specific problem or if they are due to a specific location.

MORE ABOUT THE APP
CoCo requires certain permissions for its correct use. The necessary permissions and their importance are detailed below.
Approximate and Precise location permission (Access Coarse Location and Access Fine Location): to be able to correctly collect information regarding the quality of the existing connection (in decibels), based on the location in which you find the user.
Phone State (Read Phone State): This permission allows the app to know if the device is on, off, in airplane mode... essential information to discover the percentage of time that is spent on each device. condition.

The RTR-NetTest (in German: RTR-Netztest) measures, in addition to the speed of your current internet connection (upload, download, ping, signal strength), also a number of quality parameters (VoIP, unmodified content, web page, transparent connection, DNS, ports).
When starting the app several symbols provide information about your Internet connection: mobile data or WLAN connection, background data transmission, IP address and location. The start button initiates the RTR-NetTest. The speed test is followed by QoS tests. QoS stands for Quality of Service. Horizontal bars show the progress of the QoS tests. Once all tests are completed, the results as well as other detailed information can be viewed in the summary. The menu is located on the left and allows access to home, history, map, statistics, help, information and settings.
The app of the Austrian Regulatory Authority for Broadcasting and Telecommunications (RTR) includes:
- an option to retrieve individual test results and the possibility to synchronise the results of different devices and to display them in the browser ("history")
- a map view of all test results with filter options by measurement parameters, statistics, internet providers and devices ("map")
- a display of the five most recent tests, statistics on the results of the Internet providers and all used devices/browsers with filter options by quantile, measurement parameters and measurement period ("statistics")
- quality parameters (e.g. signal strength, connectivity on different ports, modifications during data transmission, transmission duration for a reference web page)
- a traffic light rating of the measuring result
Other features of the app:
- 2G (GSM), 3G (UMTS, HSPA), 4G (LTE) and 5G(NR) connections are supported; both for IPv4 and IPv6
- test results are available as open data - see https://www.netztest.at/en/Opendata
- the source code is available at https://github.com/rtr-nettest/open-rmbt
