We are a group of former USP residents with a common goal ... Residency in general surgery at USP. We finally achieved one of the biggest dreams of our lives! 48 residents split into groups to run at the most diverse stages… general surgery, trauma, urology, vascular surgery, and so on…. And during the first year of residency, we saw each other more than our own family. Everything had to go wrong: overwork, lack of sleep, stress. But it all just strengthened our friendship and made us dream of a common project: Make the life of the resident and medical student easier. And how to do that? We initially created an Instagram channel, @papodecirugiao, in order to disseminate quality surgical content to everyone in Brazil, from the intern who wanted to know more about surgery, to the surgeon who could update himself on that channel. In one week, we had 5,000 followers, and in one month, 15,000… in one year, more than 50,000… and the feedback from people was extremely gratifying! Hence R2, and that constant fear of not passing the R3 test…. From this fear, one more idea came up: to facilitate this process with a bank of questions that could make life easier for the next people who go through this situation. Hence the emergence of MedCof - The First course in Brazil with QBank system - based on questions of complete comments, as you have never seen. QBank started in 2019 as a new preparation proposal. And the results were fantastic. The first places of surgery were for our students. This only motivated us to improve each day more…. - We created a Bank with all materials focused on R1 - We created an innovative question-based review system, HIIT. - We developed a special team for the preparation of title exams in Dermatology.
