Guitar Amps Cabinets Effects vs SonoBus Usage & Stats

• With airTubeStack you create your virtual guitar rig. This gives you virtual guitar tube amplifiers or amps and cabs , stompboxes and effects with absolutely low latency. • We have broken new technical ground so that we can achieve latencies that have not been seen before on many important devices. (from Android 8.1 upwards) Even with some cheap devices, but still dependent on the extremely differently constructed devices. 6-8 core processors are recommended, e.g. s20,s21,s22,s23 or s24 but not mandatory. • As with external professional devices, you can load your own impulse response files ( IR Files ) into the Cabinet Modeler and then save them within your sound. ( Cloud or Local ) . You can also choose between different speakers and microphones (manufacturer, angle and distance). • In the Tube Amp Modeler you can combine a wide variety of tone controls and tubes as well as the compressor effect ( crossover distortion) typical of tube power amplifiers. • You can observe the waveform of your sound in a small oscilloscope in the effects area. • A useful collection of virtual effects devices is also available. (Echo, reverb, chorus, flanger, phaser, gate, various filters and EQ's, compressor, overdrive, distortion etc.) • Also integrated is a guitar tuner and a music player that allows you to play music files at different speeds, e.g. to identify and learn specific licks. • airTubeStack contains the technical experience from 28 years of guitar speaker simulation and 40 years of technical and musical experience with virtual and real tube amplifiers. • With the user interface in airTubeStack, we have made sure that it is not analogous to that of the original, but is mostly typical of the usability of the Android OS. • NEW: v2.5 airTubeStack has a new main feature: Recording of microphone input (guitar/voice). The signal passes through the virtual effects and can be recorded while playing the guitar or singing. The addition of a music file (*.wav, *.m4a and *.mp3 is converted to *.wav) during recording is supported. You can also record your unprocessed signal while playing the guitar or singing, for example to use it later in a DAW. The result is saved as a media file (*.wav). You can access the files in ".../Documents/airTubeStack/*.*". v2.6 airTubeStack has a new main feature: • NEW: Connection of midi footswitch boards (USB or Bluetooth adapter) You can now connect different midi footswitch boards to airTubeStack. Either via USB or via Bluetooth. Via Bluetooth is a third-party app "Bluetooth Midi Connect" necessary. If the Bluetooth hardware is successfully connected to it, the device can be selected in the midi device list in the app settings. Hardware: e.g. "SoftStep 2" in toggle mode. The controller data CC#21 - CC#31 value (0=off , 127=on) represent the virtual effects in your rig (Nr 1- max. 11) . For an expression pedal you need CC#102 or CC#7. Here 0-127 applies, below the current output volume value. You can set the lowest threshold in [%] for output volume in the settings. You can find more details in the app under settings. • NEW: 9 tunings in the guitar tuner selectable • NEW: Function "Create New Rig" in "Devices Stack" view (menu) • NEW: Function "Show Output-Volume" in "Devices Stack" view (menu)

SonoBus is an easy to use application for streaming high-quality, low-latency peer-to-peer audio between devices over the internet or a local network. Simply choose a unique group name (with optional password), and instantly connect multiple people together to make music, remote sessions, podcasts, etc. Easily record the audio from everyone, as well as playback any audio content to the whole group. Public groups are also available, for those interested in connecting to new people. Connects multiple users together across the internet to send and receive audio among all in a group, with fine-grained control over latency, quality and overall mix. Use it on your desktop or in your DAW, or on your mobile device. You can also use it locally on your own LAN to send audio among your devices with low latency. Works as a standalone application. You can connect to others using SonoBus on any of the other platforms it runs on. Easy to setup and use, yet still providing all the details that audio nerds want to see. Audio quality can be instantly adjusted from full uncompressed PCM down through various compressed bitrates using the low-latency Opus codec. SonoBus does NOT use any echo cancellation, or automatic noise reduction in order to maintain the highest audio quality. As a result, if you have a live microphone signal you will need to also use headphones to prevent echos and/or feedback. SonoBus does NOT currently use any encryption for the data communication, so while it is very unlikely that it will be intercepted, please keep that in mind. All audio is sent directly between users peer-to-peer, the connection server is only used so that the users in a group can find each other. For best results, and to achieve the lowest latencies, connect your device with wired ethernet to your router. Little known fact, you can use USB ethernet interfaces with your device using the proper adapter. It *will* work using WiFi, but the added network jitter and packet loss will require you to use a bigger safety buffer to maintain a quality audio signal, which results in higher latencies, which may be fine for your use case.
