Welcome to your hand-held library of readers for Biblical Hebrew students! Our goal is to help bridge the gap between taking a first-year Hebrew class and reading the Biblical text comfortably. This library can accompany any Biblical Hebrew grammar course, offering enjoyable reading material at various levels to build students’ reading confidence and fluency. These readers are full of pictures that add context and increase comprehension, and are accompanied by clear audio recordings so that the reader can listen along page-by-page and experience Biblical Hebrew as a living language. The 37 readers range from vocabulary-building picture books and easy stories to intermediate stories based on excerpts from the Biblical text itself. The intermediate stories include a glossary at the end with words that occur less than 100 times in the Hebrew Bible. A scripture memory section is also included, with frequently memorized passages such as Genesis 1:1, the Shema, Psalm 23, and others. Listen while you read to aid in memorization.
