Deck of Cards: Hazari is played with a standard deck of 52 cards. The cards rank from high to low: Ace, King, Queen, Jack, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2. Objective: The objective of Hazari is to be the first player or team to reach a predetermined number of points, usually 1,000. Gameplay: The dealer shuffles the deck and deals 13 cards to each player, one card at a time. Bidding Phase: Players start the bidding phase by deciding the number of hands they expect to win based on the strength of their cards. The bidding starts with the player to the dealer's left and continues clockwise. Each player, in turn, must bid a number higher than the previous bid or pass. The highest bidder becomes the declarer and sets the trump suit for the round. If all players pass, the cards are reshuffled, and a new round of dealing and bidding begins. Playing Phase: The player to the dealer's left leads the first hand by playing any card from their hand. The following players must play a card of the same suit if they have one. If not, they can play any card. The player who plays the highest-ranking card of the led suit wins the hand and leads the next hand. If a player has a trump card, they can play it to win the hand, even if it is of lower rank than the led suit. The winner of each hand leads the next hand until all 13 hands have been played. Scoring: After all 13 hands have been played, the scoring phase begins. The declarer earns points based on the number of hands won, and the other players or teams earn points based on their respective bids. If the declarer wins the number of hands they bid, they earn points equal to their bid. Otherwise, they lose the bid amount in points. The other players or teams earn points based on the difference between their bid and the number of hands they won. The points are accumulated throughout multiple rounds until a player or team reaches the predetermined winning score. Next Round: The player to the left of the dealer becomes the new dealer for the next round. The dealing, bidding, and playing phases are repeated. Winning the Game: The game continues until a player or team reaches the predetermined winning score (usually 1,000 points). The player or team with the highest score at the end of a round, surpassing the winning score, is declared the winner of the game.
