July 2018 WARNING: Android OS has a possible bug. When you shut down your phone and do a fresh power on, the phone will need a few minutes to get its GPS location. Any App that makes use of GPS is affected by this bug. The only App that is able to get your GPS location quickly after a cold reboot is the Google Maps App. If you do perform a cold reboot, you will need a few minutes for the phone to set up its GPS location for Apps that use the phone's GPS data. If you did not perform a cold reboot, then the App should not have trouble getting GPS data from the phone's built-in GPS system.
