Pipe Heat Loss vs Thermal Transmittance Calc Usage & Stats

#### Estimate heat losses from pipes in heating, cooling, HVAC and hot water systems. Works for both cases: if the fluid is warmer than the surrounding air and if it is colder. Enter fluid and environment temperatures, pipe diameter and insulation thickness and conductivity. Optionally select presence of aluminum layer around insulation. That's all there is to it. Pipes can be warmer or colder than the surroundings - this means that the app is also suitable to calculate heat gains (or cool losses) for cooling systems. The app works in metric or imperial units. Make text size bigger or smaller in device Settings. Rotate to landscape if you prefer larger width. * Note: Results are valid for pipes with calm air around them (wind velocity = 0) The app is free to use and does not contain any third-party advertising or source code. It does not require accounts, log-ins, any personal data at all. In fact, it runs completely offline. ** Tip: Always produce the most energy efficient systems you can. Use the thickest thermal insulation possible.

After entering data on the temperature and humidity of the air and selecting all layers of the enclosing structure (starting from inside the building and ending with the exterior trim of the facade or roof) in the Thermal Transmittance Calc, you will receive information on all likely heat losses, as well as possible problems with humidity. A schedule will be built, according to which you can track how the temperature and humidity will change and where the dew point in the layers of the structure will be. - Easy to use, enter all the data and immediately get the results. - Ability to enter the temperature in both Celsius and Fahrenheit. - Ability to enter the size of the layer in centimeters and inches.
