Better Youth Chinese 1 Vol.2 vs Abakidz Mobile Usage & Stats

Better YCT is a collection of apps to learn Chinese Mandarin for toddlers and children from 4 to 14 years old. Our learning activities are designed to engage and entertain either in the classroom or at home. This app includes short stories, songs and funny games. Educational background Better YCT methodology is born from the experience of a large group of elementary and primary school teachers based outside of China with a long experience in teaching Chinese to children in schools. Our apps are full of learning and classroom activities. Discover, Write and Play Unlike other apps, words, expressions and phrases are presented in a context relevant to the child, ensuring his attention is kept and emphasizing listening over reading/writing activities in the first levels. Every song, story, or game is key in the language acquisition process and contains consistent vocabulary with the child level. Young Chinese Learners Tests (YCT Tests) Our course follows the official YCT language certification curriculum. These exams are done in multiple locations across the world by the Confucius Institute. There will be 16 apps in total, 4 for each YCT level: - YCT 0 for 4-5 year olds - YCT 1 (80 words) - YCT 2 (150 words) - YCT 3 (300 words) After completing each set of 4 apps your little child will be ready to pass the corresponding YCT Level exam. This app corresponds to YCT level 1, Volume 2. WARNING: Some activities require installing the Chinese handwriting keyboard on the iPad. To install it, Go to Settings -> General -> Keyboard -> Keyboards -> Add New Keyboard -> Chinese Simplified Handwriting. When on the activity that requires direct text input, the iPad virtual keyboard will be displayed and you will have to select the Chinese keyboard. To do it, tap on the button with a world globe to the left of the space bar. You will have to tap several times until the desired keyboard is displayed.
