Navigame Buoys vs MitID Usage & Stats
Navigame Buoys is an efficient and amusing way to test your skills in recognizing buoys – both for training new sailors as well as keeping the experienced sailors up-to-date.
The test is useful for all types of maritime educations, both merchant and leisure.
Navigame Buoys is complied with IALA (Maritime Buoyage System) therefore the user must choose if they want to do the test in according to region A or region B.
The test is built on the most efficient learning method. Buoys are divided into four levels with increasing in difficulty as you progress. Each level introduces new types of buoys and contains also a repetition of already shown types.
Level 1 includes:
Starboard Hand Lateral buoys
Port Hand Lateral buoys
Safe Water Mark
Level 2 includes:
Cardinal Buoys
Level 3 includes:
Special Marks
Isolated Danger Mark
Level 4 includes:
Preferred Channel Mark, starboard hand
Preferred Channel Mark, port hand
Emergency Wreck Buoy
Every level includes 10 tasks - each with 3 questions.
To pass a level you have to answer at least 24 questions correctly
The final test includes 20 tasks with 3 questions each.
To pass the final test you must answer correctly on at least 54 questions.

- Name of buoy type
- Appearance
- Light characteristics
- Flashing lights
- Light Reflectors
- Application
Three types of tasks in The Test:
A. You will be given the name of the buoy and must answer correct on:
1. Appearance
2. Flashing lights
3. Light characteristics
B. You will be given the appearance of a buoy and must answer correct on:
1. Flashing lights
2. Type/name
3. Light reflectors
C. You will be given the flashing light of a buoy and must answer correct on:
1. Type/name
2. Appearance
3. Application
Buy and use the index during day or night sailing to verify a buoy. Scroll through and touch the current buoy to see relevant information: Type, appearance, light characteristics, abbreviation in the sea chart, light reflectors and use. Also enclosed is advise on how to pass the buoy correctly.
The Index is a powerful support tool for new sailors and a useful instrument even for experienced sailors. The index is complied with IALA (Maritime Buoyage System).

ACTIVATE YOUR MITID
You can activate your MitID in your app by scanning your passport/ID card or with an activation code from Borgerservice. If you have a new mobile, you can copy your MitID from your old app.

HAVE A SPARE MITID
Having an extra MitID is a good idea. If you happen to lose your mobile with the app on it, you can still use MitID.
