Stolen Plates vs MyPlace VIN Scanner Usage & Stats
Created in partnership with the Vancouver Police Department Citizens’ Crime Watch, the Stolen Plates App is designed to search a distributed list of stolen and special attention license plates. Funding provided by the Vancouver Police Foundation.
note: The list of license plates is not publicly accessible and must be obtained through an authorized law-enforcement coordinator (refer to manual for the file format).

The MyPlace VIN Scanner allows you to decode a VIN by scanning a VIN directly from the vehicle's barcode, capturing a photo of the license plate, or searching manually by VIN and license plate. You need an active MyPlace4Parts Account to use the app. If you do not have an account please contact your Auto Value or Bumper to Bumper Parts Supplier for more information. Once decoded, view the VIN information on your device. After searching, previous scans will automatically save to your vehicle history in the app and on your MyPlace4Parts account.
