iWildlife Wildlife vs Ancient Pin Usage & Stats

With iWildlife you will get to know about many wild animals such as birds, amphibians, reptiles and mammals living in Switzerland, Germany and Austria. iWildlife contains many beautiful photographs taken by the Austrian nature photographer Helmut Kanzler and other wildlife photographers. Already due to the photos, learning the animals is a pleasure. When playing iWildlife, four photographs of different animals are shown. When you are interested in a certain animal, you may click on the figure. An informative text about the animal is displayed. In a next step, the four photos as well as four tags with names are displayed. You have to allocate the name tags to the correct animal. You get feedback immediately; each correctly identified animal is worth one point. If you are not sure you may also try several combinations within the time available. A clock is indicating how much time is left. In case you do not finalize everything within the time available, you may repeat the task once by using the 'repeat' button. If you are not sure at all, you may use the 'cheating aid': if you press the according button, you get to see one by one the names of the animals for few seconds. The final test will challenge your long-term memory: You have to complete the same tasks as before without using the 'cheating aid'. Moreover, you are not allowed to replace labels nor to use the 'repeat'-button. In this exam mode, you get 2 points for each correctly identified animal! After each chapter as well as after finalization, you receive an evaluation. You may even listen to the singing of some particular birds or see how Alpine ibex are fighting in order to define their hierarchy (filmed by the Swiss nature film-maker Andrea Conrad). You will also solve a task which is related to this video clip. Learning by allocating name tags is much more effective as well as more joyful than using multiple choice questions.
