today - a productivity app vs Today 5 Usage & Stats
Being productive is not that difficult. You need to decide what to do, then do it—preferably today. Today offers a distraction-free app that focuses on what you must do today. Ideally, you get into a habit of finishing every task that needs to be done today, but if you don't get to it, it will be moved to the next day for you.
Overloading your tasks into a single day is a recipe for disaster, so your today screen should be only tasks you intend to finish today. The rest can go in the backlog to be brought it when the day is right.

Welcome to "Today," your go-to app for getting more done, every single day. Our app is meticulously designed to enhance your focus on immediate tasks while also keeping future plans in sight. As soon as you open "Today," you're greeted with a custom itinerary of tasks tailored just for you, split into three distinct types to streamline your time management:
Regular Tasks: Dive into tasks that are time-bound and appear in your "Today" and "Tomorrow" views, automatically transitioning to the Performance view as the clock strikes midnight. These tasks, which you manually input, are all about taking action now. Any task slated for "Tomorrow" seamlessly shifts to "Today" when a new day begins, and any "Today" task moves to the Performance view at midnight, where you can track whether it was completed. A clear performance indicator keeps things readable, and you even have the option to mark off tasks you might have missed in the past days.
Timeless Tasks: This category is for the things you need to do that aren't pressing against the clock. Without any time constraints or performance tracking, these tasks form a general to-do list for non-urgent matters, helping you stay organized without the pressure.
Recurring Tasks: For those duties that come around on a regular basis, set a time interval for their completion. These tasks will pop back into your "Today" view either at the start of a new interval or if they're marked as incomplete, with a visual cue in gold to celebrate completion or in red to warn of potential delays.
"Today" is more than just a task manager; it's a system designed to keep you focused on the present while never losing sight of what's ahead, ensuring you're always prepared for what life throws your way.
