Each puzzle has a general difficulty level from Easy to Extreme based on the topology of the tree. The actual complexity of the corresponding equation depends on the specific set of nodes in the tree and the hints used, and is measured in stars from 1 to 6. The general difficulty levels correspond to the following complexities: Easy -> 1 star, Medium -> 1-2 stars, Hard -> 3-5 stars, Extreme -> 5-6 stars. Solving a puzzle earns you one of 6 titles based on the number of stars awarded for that puzzle, ranging from Beginner for 1-star puzzles to Grandmaster for 6-star puzzles.
